Furniture Animation

For this  3DMax furniture animation, we had 5 working days to produce an animation of a concept piece of furniture. For this animation, we got some simple line drawings and materials to be used from the client. We wanted to share what it’s possible to be done in a limited amount of time for an animation and the workflow that we used. We hope you guys like it. If you want to know more, please drop me and email here.

Render Settings

  • We rendered this model in V-ray rendering engine.
  • All 4 cameras in total were 1953 frames which took 38 hours to render in a single PC / Res 1920 x 1080 / output format = TARGA
  • Time to set up and test the render settings for the furniture animation were 2 hours.
  • We used After Effects to stitch the frames and export the video file as MOV format.
  • Finally we used Premier to edit the music in and export the whole thing in a high bit rate to retain quality and the standard H.264 video codec which is playable in almost any media player.
